Diana's story
An American
who chose
Yorkshire.
Diana D'Alessio grew up in the United States and spent 15 years as a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour and European Tour, competing in 12 countries. That career gave her a deep, practical understanding of the body — how it performs, how it recovers, and what it needs when things go wrong.
In 2019, she moved to North Yorkshire. Not temporarily. She came, fell in love with the place, and settled. In April 2026 she moved to Ampleforth itself, where she works from a professional home studio offering personalised treatments focused on relaxation, recovery and overall wellbeing.
"I've had surgery on my shoulder, both knees and my hip. I know exactly what it feels like when your body lets you down — and what it takes to get it back. That's why I retrained as a massage therapist. I genuinely love this work and I love this community."
Diana is also a breast cancer survivor — a journey that has profoundly shaped her perspective on health, resilience and looking after both body and mind. She has a particular passion for supporting clients through different stages of life, including around menopause and the changes it brings.
